Fundraisers

Book Fair

The PTA hosts a Book Fair for three consecutive school days and one evening, twice during the school year (Fall and Spring). Scholastic Books provides a wide variety of books and novelty items (pencils, erasers, posters) to the students. Each class visits the Book Fair at least two times, giving each child a chance to write down their “wish list” and then return to purchase their books. Volunteers are needed to help the children in preparing their lists and making their purchases as well as with the set up and take down of the Book Fair.

Box Tops For Education

This is a quick and easy fundraiser that is ongoing all year long. All parents need to do is cut off their Box Tops (from General Mills cereal boxes, Avery paper products, Land O’ Lakes products, and many more) and send them into school with your child.  At least twice a year, the Box Tops are tallied and sent to Box Tops.  In return, the PTA receives a check.  Spread your word to your friends and family to save those Box Tops!  www.BoxTops4education.com offers ways for you to earn more cash for our school through your online purchases.

Dining to Donate

At various times throughout the year, local food establishments give a percentage of their sales for to the PTA. Families, friends and neighbors are encouraged to support our school, gather with friends and enjoy a night off of cooking.

Fall/ Spring Fundraisers

Students are given sales brochures to exciting retailers (i.e. Yankee Candle, Mixed Bags, etc) and order forms, but are not permitted to sell door to door.  Volunteers are needed to send out brochures and order forms and coordinate orders for submission.

Fifth Grade Moving Up

This committee is responsible for coordinating everything related to Moving Up Ceremony including planning the ceremony, decorations, programs, DVD, pictures and music.  Additionally, this committee is responsible for fundraising additional money for Moving Up expenses that are not included in the RMS PTA budget.

Food Days

Special lunchtime snacks can be ordered for most half-day sessions. Typical offerings include slice of pizza or bagels and juice.  Volunteers are needed during the snack period (generally 45 minutes to an hour) to help distribute food to the students.

KidStuff Books

KidStuff coupon books go home with the youngest sibling in each family in the fall. Each of these books offers a wide variety of discount coupons.

School Apparel

You and your child can show your school spirit by wearing RMS apparel. T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, caps as well as other school spirit novelties may be purchased during this fundraiser event.
